Piccolo Soloist

Throughout her life, Alexis has had an undeniably strong connection to the piccolo, finding her voice in the instrument at a young age (having her solo piccolo debut with an orchestra at the age of 18) and developing a love and passion for its soloistic capabilities. In addition to recently being featured as a piccolo soloist with the University of Arizona Wind Symphony (performing Derek Bourgeois’ Piccolo Picante), she has commissioned a new work for piccolo by a Tucson-based composer (Bob Atwell), titled Rincon Peak. Her most recent project is a professional recording of Amanda Harberg’s Concerto for Piccolo with a fully actualized orchestra, which will be released in 2025. She intends to continue to contribute to the solo piccolo repertoire through new works, recordings, and performances.
